0630 Wake up call/ blow kisses to husband.
0645 Second wake up call, because he knows I blew him kisses in my sleep. He tells me I am an excellent conversationist in my sleep, so he tries to check back. If he can't, alarm clock does the job.
0645-0715 Feed/potty dog and self. Check email and determine what fires need put out first.
0715-0745 Get ready for school (dressed, washed, pack bags, determine whether I have enough time to put make up on to cover the dark circles under my eyes).
0745-0800 Play with Gabbro.
0815 Arrive at school/ begin dealing with mountain o'shit for the day.
0900 (M/T/ W) Run over to job, make coffee, and work until 1600.
(TH) Finish the last bit of work required before meeting with the advisor. Meet with advisor #1 to discuss journal article for the week (1000-1100). Run around like mad chicken in the lab to make up for all the work not done M/T/W until 1330. Then run across campus to sit in class/seminar until 1600.
(F) Finish the last bit of work required before meeting with the advisor. Meet advisor #2 from 1000-1100 to discuss research progress and list of miracles required to perform by next week. Meetings with various faculty/students until 1300 and/or lab work until 1600.

*These descriptions do not include any additional club meetings/activities I am required to tend to. Nor does it include any of my committee work, job hunting, or the meager social life I try to squeeze in.
Saturday and Sunday are slightly better.
Saturday:
0800 I so totally got to sleep in...YAY! Feed/potty self/dog. Throw a load of clothes in washer while determining what fires need put out first.
0900-1600 Choose your poison: Home repairs/cleaning while doing laundry or dissertation work. Whatever doesn't get done now will be done on Sunday.
1700-1830 Long Swim/ shower/ decide I am starving.
1830 Feed/potty dog
1900-2130 Bemoan the fact that there is no food for dinner. Drive 30 min to grocery store, shop, drive home, break all the mega packages of things down into useable sizes for the week so that there will be no additional prep-work later. Decide I am now too tired to cook and eat whatever is in the fridge that requires no prep (usually a piece of fruit or frozen dinner).
2130 Play with/walk dog.
2200-0000 Work in lab and/or work on dissertation while watching TV and chatting with husband on skype (if he is awake and not on duty)
0000 Sleep.
Sunday
0730 Wake up/ blow kisses to husband on phone. Feed/potty self and dog. Usually this is the one day I eat a "real breakfast".
0900 Get dressed in sweats and hit any stores required before all the good people of the world either sleep off their hangovers or get out of church.
1100 Laundry/Housework/Dissertation
1300 Jog with Dog at park; then shower.
1500 Snack/housework/ laundry/reading for the week.
1700-1945 Lab
2000 Downton Abbey
2100-0200 Try to catch up and get ready for next week while chatting with spouse on skype. Work in feeding/pottying self and dog.
0200 Sleep.
*Note: Does not adequately take into account impact of duty days/exercises, etc on communication.
However, this does explain why I am always feeling under the bus.
