I found out I got a little $$ today to help me do research in Turkey this summer! Yay! I am excited. I love me some research!
I also found out that I will be included in BIGU's Women of Distinction calendar this coming year. WTH? Did the Earth stop spinning on it's axis? Seriously floored.

They will be available starting August for free, but I guess a donation is suggested...I don't have the details just yet.
Im such a Sailor. When i read calendar i imagined like a playboy calendar, then realized youd probably make it funny like sexing up sweatpants while holding a mug of coffee and doing lab work. Lmao im sorry. Im going to hell.
Actually it's completely serious (think dresses or suits). The calendar has been in existence for about a decade and was made in response to a calendar put out by some males at the university that featured scantily clad co-eds. Since then, it's become a strong symbol of women's strength on campus to be a part of the Women of Distinction.
