New Blog and a New Attribution

Hi all! I know my name changes and multiple aliases make me seem slightly schizophrenic. I am sorry about this and hopefully this will be the last time.
The problem is that I often feel like a lot of people rolled into one. I wear a lot of hats and some people don't even realize this, so I have friends who only see me as a geologist, some only as a milspouse, some as a variety of other things (which I don't want to bore you with).
The natural question arises: Do I merge all these identities and write as one person, which would be the sane thing to do? Or do I break it up and address different audiences specifically?
I have tried the former and it doesn't quite seem to make people happy, and it gives some people way too much access to who I am, which I am not comfortable with.
So we are going to try it the other way.

Without further ado, I give you my second blog: Extremofiles, where I will be blogging about science.
There has been a lot of discussion about anonymity on the internets as professional protection, particularly in the cut-throat business of science, so I will be changing my pseudonym to: Slightly_Rifted.
It will show up this way on both of my blogs (this and extremofiles). Smurfoflauge Cafe will remain active. I am still posting here, but unlisted. Some of you are aware that I went unlisted a while ago.

The reason for this is that there is exactly (to my knowledge), one AD military spouse who is a geologist. This makes me easy to pick out of a crowd. I don't want to make it any easier. I experience a lot of prejudice already because of my husband's career. I don't need to make it any harder on myself.

I hope you understand and can support these changes. I realize this makes me difficult to follow. I could set up another separate account, but the activation energy required to login and out multiple times to multiple places is too high, making it likely I would stop blogging all together.  If you have a good idea about how to create a standing link for you that doesn't require being listed and searchable, I am all ears.

Thanks for being patient with me.

I will follow 100 of your personalities if need be. And I'm interested in your science blog, even though I doubt I could follow any of it!
