2010 Redux

As I have tried to do a year in review, I feel like this pretty much sums up how this year went. Many of the events listed here happened before my blog was up and running. My Fellowship was renewed for another year. I was nominated for a major award, which I didn't get. ExxonMobil loved me, and then again maybe not.  We celebrated one year of home ownership and $8K of equity. We finished putting new siding on the house. We celebrated 1 year of me having the Audi TT, which has $5K equity in it. I got a grant to support my research. I failed my oral comprehensive exams.  I got my first committee position. I made new friends. We moved Senior Jefe to Dahlgren, VA and then Newport, RI. We had an AMAZING time in both DC and Boston. We celebrated 6 yrs of marriage and 7yrs of being together. We were told we were going to Japan.  My sister went to China. The other to HI. I passed my oral comprehensive exams. We were told, oops...you're not going to Japan. I lost 15 lbs. I gained 5 lbs in CA over Christmas. We remodeled the laundry room. We're in flux. In 2011, I hope Senior Jefe gets finished w/ school and gets settled somewhere. I don't care where, but I am tired of the Navy playing the Oops game every 4 mos. I want to lose 15 lbs, to get back to my pre-grad school weight. I want to present at Goldschmidt in Prague this summer and I want to go somewhere abroad, maybe on an REI trip. I want to halve our debt. I want to get all the way through INSANITY and maybe do agility with the pups. I want to finish all my experiments and start writing my dissertation.
